Best Reasons Why You Should Live In El Campello
I have lived in the Alicante region of Spain for 22 years and the last 4 years here in El Campello. I would like to share my positive experiences with anyone who is contemplating living in El Campello, as there really are so many benefits which I will be defining as the best reasons why you should live in El Campello.1) The sunshine and mild Winter climate probably heads the list, with a minimum temperature of 5º in Winter and real scorcher days in the Summer reaching up to 40º. In the Winter, if the sun is out you can be out, it's as simple as that and you will save a lot too on heating bills. The best of the weather though is definitely in the Autumn and Spring, with an average temperature of 20 to 25º, even allowing you to spend time at the beach in the Playa San Juan or to enjoy a memorable day on the El Campello course in perfect conditions.
2) Eating out is so much more affordable too and El Campello provides a great selection of both Spanish and International cuisine, and you will also find that children are welcome too, but I would point out that the Spanish in general don't speak English very well, so always carry a phrase book with you.
3) If you run a business and are a bit worried about the new higher income tax rate, come to El Campello. The whole tax system is so much more simplified here, and without a doubt you end up paying less, regardless of your gross income. If you need any advice on legal or tax matters, we will put you in contact with an experienced English speaking tax advisor, who will be able to explain any issue that may concern you.
4) Rates, Poll tax, council tax or whatever it may be called today, here in El Campello it is called IBI and the is calculated on the size of your property. If you own an apartment it would be between 200 and 300 Euro a YEAR, and for a 4 bedroom villa it would probably be nearer 1000 Euro, but per YEAR.
5) All of these savings means you have more money to spend to go out and enjoy the El Campello outdoor lifestyle, resulting in achieving a much higher standard of living. The nightlife can also be enjoyed by people of all ages, whether you just like to sit down by the beach and enjoy an ice cream or if you like to have a few beers and let your hair down and go to "La Huella" close to the beach. which have a great salsa atmosphere.
6) You don't need a car. Now many people probably want a car, but for those of you that don't El Campello is perfect with everything you need within a 5 minute walk. If you need to go further afield, then the Tram stops in the centre El Campello and will take you right into the heart of Alicante in just 10 minutes.
7) A smokers paradise. I believe that is smoking in El Campello is a lot more acceptable than in the UK. Cigarettes are very cheap and you can smoke in most bars. There are also non smoking bars and restaurants, so El Campello really does cater for both smokers and non smokers. You probably won't get fined in El Campello for throwing your cigarette but on the pavement.
8) Fiestas or festivals are also very high on the agenda in El Campello. There are many traditional festivals throughout the year with the main holiday fiestas in July and October, where everybody dresses up and gets into the swing of things.
9) All in all if you add up all of these positive benefits of living in El Campello, take into account the overall sunshine, the relaxed way of life and added time to enjoy yourself more, you will in fact end up living longer, which probably should have been the first point to why you should live in El Campello.

Alicante - Getting your Permanent Residents Certificate
If you live in Spain nowadays you can get away with just having an N.I.E number which every European community citizen needs for tax and legal issues. It doesn't matter whether you work or not, anybody who resides in Spain for more than 3 months will be legally bound to have that number.
If on the other hand you have been a resident for a number of years and have never had an N.I.E number; rather a renewable residents card, you will have to apply for a Permanent resident certificate.
The Permanent resident certificate unlike its predecessor doesn't have a photo, so it no longer serves as a form of identification, so you will be required to either carry your passport or driving license (with photo) on you at all time. It seems like a step backwards for residents but at least it's the last time you need to renew your residents permit.
If you live in the Province of Alicante, you need to go to Alicante to an office near the Alicante bus station, with just your passport, old residents permit and photocopies of both documents. Get there before nine in the morning and you will be given the necessary papers to fill out. Once you have presented the required documents, you will have to return the following day to pick up the permanents resident card.
You may find this a tiresome business and if you would rather have an experienced professional to assist you at very reasonable prices, then I would have to recommend Gill from A-Z Paperwork - You won't regret meeting Gill - http://www.a-zpaperwork.com

URGENT HELP NEEDED - Cleaners in El Campello
We have just begun a new year here in Campello and the economic down turn is beginning to hit the locals hard, especially those men who have always depended on the building industry which has almost come to a stand still.
My main concern though are the hard working women of Campello who are finding it even harder to find work in the cleaning sector and I am now trying to promote work for single mothers that are known to me.
If you live in Campello or in the surrounding areas and could do with a helping hand around the house, then please contact me and I will provide you with hard working ladies from Campello at very reasonable rates. The time has come for all of us to help those in need if we can, even if it means just for a couple of hours a week.
Transport or language will not be a problem as I will assist in these aspects, so if you need a cleaner in Campello, you need look no further and in return I will help you with any language problems that you may have free of charge.
Don't forget, we are talking about single mothers from El Campello that are really desperate for work and I give you my personal guarantee that you will receive a quality service, at very reasonable rates and that you won't be let down in any way.

10 Villas For Sale in Busot, Alicante, Spain
Busot is a small picturesque village situated just 10 minutes inland from El Campello and just 5 minutes away from the Bonalba golf course. Busot consists of a the village itself with narrow winding streets leading up to the town hall and you will find a few shops too, so you are not exactly cut off from the rest of the world.
Busot began to spread it's wings about 15 years ago when the small surrounding urbanizations started to grow and today some really stylish looking villas can be found in these areas as well as a few shops and bars that always help to give these small urbanizations a bit more atmosphere.
If you are looking for the quiet life in the countryside with panoramic views, then Busot could be the place you were looking for. It is also just 25 minutes from the Alicante airport and as I said before, you don't have to go far to find shopping centers, cinema and others forms of entertainment that you may enjoy.
During these hard times on the property market, prices have as you may have expected reached rock bottom, creating both affordable and long term property investment opportunities. The majority of villas in Busot are built on a 800m2 plot with 3/4 bedrooms and many also come with a swimming pool.
If you would like to have a closer look at villas that are currently available in Busot, please just click on the individual photos below to reveal more photos, price and complete property details. You can either contact the agency direct or you can contact me for any further information.

Property Investments in Campello
The current global financial crisis has seen people loosing a great deal of money with even major international banks going under. Even so there are still a lot of people waiting on the fence to see just what they should invest their money in.
Stocks and shares could be a good option as news of an American financial recovery plan is unveiled by President Elect Obama, which seems to have been the extra confidence boost needed. There is a risk of course as the stock exchange is volatile to any form of negative activity both financial and political. You have to be a brave man to invest on the stock exchange but you very well could come out on top "big time".

Property investments in Spain right now are certainly worth considering with property prices having dropped about 20% over the last 2 years. I do believe that the prices will now stabilize with low interest rates encouraging banks to lend once again. Now with property investments you don't only make money through natural appreciation, but also through rental income.
The market is at levels once again whereby your rental income will comfortably cover your mortgage payments and short term holiday lets can even leave you with some extra income. You can generate even further income from your property by re mortgaging every 3 or 4 years, as the annual rental increases will cover the extra monthly mortgage payment.
You can currently get some real bargains for new-build apartments, although I wouldn't personally take a chance unless the apartment block was completed or almost complete. Many projects will find it very difficult to complete and it could take a very long time, if not never for people to get their deposits back.
The second hand property market has also seen prices tumble but you may feel safer by investing in a property that comes with deeds. "Buy to let" investments in Spain in tourist regions are really worth considering and are probably one of the safest investments that are currently available in the investment world.
